The bucket list
I would like to link a film review to my Ajurveda and healthy life topic. I could offer several other films and books ( Jane Godall books and Super size me just to recite some examples) on this subject but I chose this film because I saw it just a few days ago. It doesn’t have many things to do with eating habits, but it speaks about life in a marvellous way. It’s an american movie which stars as big names as Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
Well, to be onest, I went to see this film beacuse I couldn’t stand staying in a 60 square meters flat in a nice Friday evening. But my boyfriend and also I was so tired, that we didn’t have the energy to go to an art cinema. To sum it up I didn’t expect too much, I just said ok for the first american film. Well, it was a huge surprise! I was so moved emotionally that I began to cry..
The story is about two men who get into hospital because of having a serious brain cancer. They share room and become very soon friends although one of them is a white doctor and the other is a black car mechanic. After they are told slipping the painter in a few month’s time they decided to travel around the world and do things that they never done before because they were scared to death. Well, now they really have nothing to loose..May be the black man. He has a family and he has to choose : stays with his relatives and try an other usless therapy or live his last days with a stranger. It’s a bit kliscé story but it's full filled with emotions, and has a lot to transmit.
Sometimes we scare too much of life itself. But I believe, that we have to find what we really like to do, also as a profession, even then it’s hard and full of difficult decisions sometimes…

The Ajurveda
What is Ajurveda? In the opinion of the indian people it is the so called science of the life. It was developed thousands of years ago and until nowadays it is the base of the indian medical healthcare. But this discipline is not only used in hospitals to cure sick patients but it’s a fundamental of the outlook of life in this eastern culture. So we can say that it’s an entire system, that gives a daily routine, speaks about alimentation and the importance of being in contact with the nature and last but not at least also deals with astrology.
Ajurveda devides people’s body type in three classes and there are three other body types that lies on the mixture of the first mentioned three types. Each type has a different life style and alimentetion proposal but all of them underline that the human body is the part of the nature. That’s why we shouldn’t eat artifical foods, and we have to take the season and the local food in consideration when we do our everyday shopping. Also harmful for our body, if we for example don’t get up until midday. Indians say that we have to get up with the sun to be capable to follow our body’s natural functions. It’s true, and I’m a proof for this statement. Everyday I can get up between 6 and 7 o’clock without problem. For a while I also changed my eating habits and if I have the chance I also avoid eating meet. For a long time ago I didn’t take any medcine exept my vitamins, and until that time I didn’t have any serious disase or illness. So may be the indians know something…and may be it’s worth to spend some time thinking about what foods do we consume and what we should…

Hello,
welcome again! It's spring and also easter holiday time, and I have a fantastic topic to share with you. What a wonderful day :) So few weeks ago I learnt a lot of things about the saud arabian culture by writing an article about the women's veils so called hijab, and its religious and cultural contents. Out of the question that wheather they like wearing it or not and what western cultures think about them, I found very interesting the fact, how this wearing influence the saudi women's life. First of all you have to know that they have to wear according to the Quran, they holy book, a large clothing to avoid the phisical attraction of men. In this country they wear a cloth that shield their whole body but their eyes. They have to wear it during they're staying in the street or infront of any men that not belong to the strait family. That's why they have as big shopping centers as the western countries, but with sepated flats for the women clothings. In those departments otherwise the fitting room is also very rarely. But why they need shopping centers if they have no chance to wear anything like the women in Europe or America? Actually it's not true. As I mentioned they mustn't show themselfs infront of other male but parties with other women are not prohibited. So when we notice that saudi women with a lot of money in they pocket are buying Gucci and Armani clothes, they not only watching them at home in the bathroom sadly, but wearing them infront of the family and other women. The market of the most expensive goods are very big in this country. But would you like to live in these countries for beauty home clothes ? Well, I really don't know...

Today I saw the new film of Tim Burton, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Well, first I wasn't sure that I would like to see this film tonight, because I knew that it was more a musical than a film and I didn't expect too much. But finally with my boyfriend we decided that tonight we don't see the Charlie Wilson's War but the new Jhonny Depp film. Actually it was amazing. I can't remember the last film before this one that I would like to be continued. The caracters were real individuals, and the whole story was "well organised", I mean every scene was perfect, neither too much nor too forced. It was full of unexpected turns, you never knew what is going to happen, just like in average american films. I reccomend it to everyone, it's really worth to see! If you want to see the trailer you can find it under the films and comments link. Enjoy :)

Hello again. First of all I would like to thank to everybody for the great comments.
Last week I was ill so I couldn't go to the cinema to watch one of the new films, so I think I tell you about some interesting environmental solutions in India. Nowadays we hear a lot of practical things about how to consume for example less energy and how to solve the refuse problem. In India where most of the people can't indulge theirself to buy a car or even a house with central heating and water these problems can't occour. They only try to save their little money while they collect the saint cows' droppings throwing it on the houses' wall and then using it as a heating material. Most of them don't eat meat, so they don't have to produce extra grains and for the extra grains extra water. To avoid the using of the soap they don't use glasses but mugs what they don't wash but break them into pices and create new ones.
India is also one of the countries where the west broke into. We can find McDonalds in every corner in the bigger cities, naturally without beef in the cheesburgers, and women who are wearing new, fashionable western clothes. The country is developing, and a development for an indian people means that he follows the western and rich countries. At the same time here, in Europe we buy indian clothes, we go to the yoga classes and trying to relax with meditations. But are these "tryings" the same that people live through in the East?Or what we live trogh in the West? Can we became the masters of yoga or meditation? I don't think so..

Hello, welcome to my culture blog! As you can guess from the title my aim is to collect many interesting videos, trailers, critics, interviews about films and music and to discuss these and other topics in connection with culture.
I've created a film corner which I would like to refresh every week. Here you will find new critics, trailers, interviews every week.
The contrast link contains funny videos about different cultures and strange ideas. I'm sure that you'll like it!
My love India link is a slideshow of pictures and I hope I'll manage to add some more interesting texts. (You must know that I'm really in love with this country, with it's philosophy of life, with it's countryside. May be this year I'll have the chance to visit this wonderful place...)
I also would like to rise a question every week because I'm really interested in your opinions about different things. This week I would like to know what is your relationship with the magazine of our university? You can also comment it on my blog. Your opinions are really welcome.
And at last but not at least you can find a video bar under the blog texts which contains my favourite artists' videos from Youtube, you can watch and enjoy Thievery Corporation, Björk, Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Kruder&Dorfmeister and many other artists' clips if you want.
I hope you'll enjoy reading my blog and writing in it. If you have some more ideas to develope my blog, please let me know! You can write an email to my adress or you can comment this blog too. It's up to you!
